As a realtor at Alain Pinel -Carmel I am blessed to work with many wonderful and fabulous clients to represent them in either finding a home in #Carmel, #Pebble Beach, #Pacific Grove, #Monterey or the surrounding area or in selling their home. My gratitude list always has to include these clients for they are an important part of my life. In order to say THANK YOU for their business on December 12th I had a Pie-Give-Away party for some of my clients who live here locally or have second homes here. Each one brought home a Sweet Elena’s pie as a gift from me to enjoy with their family. We all had such a good time at the party enjoying refreshments and libations! Each of my clients had a story to tell the others about our adventures of “house hunting” or selling their homes and there were so many nice things said about me I am sure I was blushing. As we said good-bye, all had smiles on their faces as they left with their beautiful and delicious pie! Thanks again to all my amazing clients!
What a great way to start a morning! This Thursday morning was “Realtor Day” and as an Alain Pinel Realtors’ volunteer, I took my place in front of the Carmel-by-the-Sea Post Office and rang the bell for donations for the Salvation Army. People were so nice and so generous I decided this was something I would like to do every year. Holiday time is a time to have gratitude for all the blessings we have and to be generous to others who are in need. The Salvation Army helps those in need year round. Many people stopped to chat. Some told me they used to ring the bell themselves and one woman told me how the Salvation Army had helped her when she was in need as she stuffed my kettle with bills.
Good morning!, Happy Holidays! Merry Christmas! Thank you! kept flying out of my mouth. By the end of the two hours I was on a “holiday high”! See you next year at this time . . . I’ll be ringing my bell!
The Salvation Army has been working together with the Monterey Peninsula community for over 130 years. Through their various programs they provide services to the homeless, low-income families, and youth of all ages and run a holiday assistance program each Thanksgiving and Christmas.
The Salvation Army currently has representation in 124 different countries worldwide, in addition to nearly 8,000 centers of operation across the United States.
My life is always filled with gratitude, but at Thanksgiving time I take more time to reflect on how truly blessed I am. Best wishes to all of my friends, clients, and associates for a wonderful Thanksgiving! However you are celebrating Thanksgiving this year, I wish you love, peace, joy, and a life filled with blessings.
Lots happening in Monterey at the Monterey Bay Aquarium tonight. Culminating two days of Cooking for Solutions events, tonight it’s party time! It’s cool to respect our oceans and the sea life that live there. It’s been a passion of mine to “save our oceans” all my life. Thank goodness it is now the “cool thing to do” so everyone gets involved. Although great damage has already been done, it’s not too late to become stewards of our oceans and Monterey Bay. Tonight at the Monterey Bay Aquarium hundreds will learn how to live the ocean-friendly lifestyle sampling fun culinary experiences created by celebrity chef Alton Brown and 50 local restaurants. It’s a party! Yummy food, wine and beer from local wineries and breweries, and dancing in the shadow of a whale! See you there!
